Jesus builds His church (Mt. 16:18). Discipleship Lutheran Church is a small, traditional, mission congregation focused on our Lord's Great Commission of making disciples (Mt 28:18-20). We meet in the pastor's house on Sundays at 9:30 am for Bible study and at 10:30 am for worship. Our focus is to receive a reclaimed, restored, and reformed church from our Lord, "set apart" from the world and from the typical American church experience which we see as compromised by commercialism, liberal philosophy, and ungodly culture. We have no offering plates, take no offering, and intentionally avoid commercializing tendencies in the church. All of us have come out of previous congregational experiences that were money-driven rather than Scripture-driven, and were cultures of gossip led by bullies. Jesus builds His church (Mt 16:18), and He gave His church pastors to lead the flock (Eph 4:11). Rather than boards, committees or voting, decisions are made under the pastor's leadership, his teaching from Scripture, and all working toward consensus. Therefore, our motto is "No gossip, no bullies; no business, no politics--Grace alone, Faith alone, Scripture alone, Christ alone." Mt 16:18 says Jesus builds His church. We say, "Amen, Jesus! Build Your church here among us!" For more info see our website at www. DiscipleshipLC.church and our church body's website at www.CLMinisterium.org.
